is originally from St. Louis and has lived and worked as an artist in Santa Fe, Chicago, and New York before relocating to Oakland where he currently resides. He is a third-generation Filipino American whose grandfather left the Philippines in 1921 and attained his US citizenship through military service in WWII. Daniel has taught photography at the University of Connecticut and St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, New York. He has been an artist-in-residence at the Woodstock Center for Photography, the Camera Club of New York, Bose Pacia, The Luminary, and The Kala Institute. His work has been acquired by private collectors and public institutions, and he will continue to interpret the world around him through the lens of his camera until he is old and gray.
